More Than A Basketball Club
Dream Chasers Sheffield exists to help young people chase their dreams — on and off the court.
Built From The Grassroots Up
Dream Chasers Sheffield Basketball Club was founded by Nicholas Lewis and Eddy Brownell with a clear mission: to create a strong basketball pathway for players across Sheffield to develop, compete, and chase their potential.
Founded in 2023, the club provides opportunities for players of different ages and abilities — from beginner and grassroots teams through to competitive junior National League teams and our Men's programme.
The club gives young people a place to learn the game, build confidence, develop discipline, and progress through a structured basketball environment.
The City's Values, Our Values
Founded in Sheffield, the club carries the city's values: hard-working, honest, resilient, and ambitious. We believe talent matters, but attitude, consistency, coachability, and effort are what help players reach the next level.
Our pathway connects grassroots basketball, weekly development sessions, team practices, strength and conditioning, competitive games, and wider opportunities through Youth Sports Pathway and Make It Work Global.
Players are supported by experienced coaches — including current and former professional players — who understand what it takes to improve and compete at higher levels.
What We're Building
A club that gives every player a clear route to grow — from their first steps in the game, to grassroots competition, to high-performance development, academy opportunities, university pathways, and beyond.
Develop The Person
Basketball is the vehicle. Our goal is to develop confidence, leadership, resilience, and pride in representing their club and community.
Build The Player
Technical skill, basketball IQ, physicality and competitiveness — developed in a structured, progressive environment from grassroots to NBL.
Create The Pathway
From your first session to university scholarships, professional opportunities and beyond. Dream Chasers builds the route and walks it with you.
Why Dream Chasers Sheffield
We offer what very few youth basketball programmes in Yorkshire can match.

For teammates, coaches, opponents, and the game itself. Respect is at the heart of everything we do.
Commitment
Showing up, being consistent, and investing fully in your development and the team around you.
Accountability
Taking ownership of your game, your attitude, and your role in the team. No excuses — growth mindset always.

Believing in yourself and each other. We build players who back themselves when it matters most.
People First
Basketball is the vehicle. Growing as a person — with confidence, leadership and resilience — is the goal.
